Hey all just looking to change diff gears in 60' diffs to 5.29 from
locktup 4x4 how much different is the strengh of my 4.11 to 5.29 in regards to pinion , its in a 47series pushed by 37' and v6 auto so its not neck snapping power of a 355 stroker when droping the clutch.

How strong are diff gears
Moderators: toaddog, TWISTY, V8Patrol, Moderators
4.88's are a gret ratio for gearing and strength, 5.29's tend to load the centres only.
In my limited experience you'd be better in the long run with diff ratios and transfer gears, rather than just all the ratio change being in the diffs only.
