Bikinitop

Post by Jools »

Does anybody use a bikinitop? Don`t get me wrong; on the car I mean.

There`s an official Feroza top available, but I was wondering whether you can make it yourself as well. I`m interested in your experiences.

Since breaking my hard top, I've been driving without it !!
Only problem for bikini top is the rear roll bar.....it just looks plain silly without the hardtop on !!.....so.....mine's been removed !!

At the moment, I'm using a tonneau cover from an old Ford (it was free) and strapping it down to protect the stuff in the back, but ultimately...read:when I can afford....I will get a cover and a bikini top made up from the one cover that I have !!

is it that regular softtop do you mean??
if so, i have a brand new one for sale, going cheap. with all the brackets.
can supply photos for anyone interested.

email me

simon@ccamlr.org

it covers the car exactly where the hardtop goes. from the drivers head, over the rear rollbar to the back on a frame.
it may not be the kind of top you are talking about????

I found a picture from in old Feroza brochure which shows the top I mean. Mind you, there is no rear roll bar!

When I look at it, I guess making it myself can`t be that hard. Suppose you can use some canvas, cut it to size, sew it, and attach two straps. But I might be too optimistic.

You could get one made up and use the rear roll bar for the support. I wonder how it attaches at the front?

Check out the width of that spare tyre!

I`m interested for sure, but having the stuff shipped to Central Europe will be quite a pain.

So I`ll look around over here.
