Hi Guys
I have to replace all the bushes in my 80 series.
Is there any particular brand that is better than the rest?
Thanks

dont know about a better brand but it is a prick of a job to do as you will have to cut or burn the old bushes out (i have done mine twice in the last 12 months)

Its not so hard with a decent press. I would go rubber, just put some rubber caster correction bushes in a 100 series today.flyinwall wrote:dont know about a better brand but it is a prick of a job to do as you will have to cut or burn the old bushes out (i have done mine twice in the last 12 months)
You don't even need a decent press. a 12 tonne chinese thing will do the job. but you will need decent plates and right sized sockets to push them out.
Hint: an old 1hz timing belt pulley is the right size to punch out the radius arm-axle bushes.
Super pro poly bushes are good compared to some other poly bushes, but genuine are the best. shop around if buying genuine cause some places are a rip off.
genuine bushes are a press in bush, poly bushes aren't.

Our press at work is a good quality 25 tonne item, I've done heaps of cruiser and patrol radius bushes never used more than about 10-15 tonne to get them out.pinkfloyddsotm wrote:pedders suspension down where i am used their 25T press and that couldnt even push the radius arm bushes out, another guy did with his 80T press.oldmate wrote:You don't even need a decent press. a 12 tonne chinese thing will do the job. but you will need decent plates and right sized sockets to push them out.
