is there any common issues with running an alloy radiator on a holden v8 engine?
cast heads and alloy radiator?
putting one into my lux and trying to work out which way to go to get the best cooling.

its a vn injected motor i assume they are still cast then? they are definatley not alloy.
one option is to use the hilux rad and recore it but if i use an alloy version it is bolted to the body so it would have an obvious conection to the body electricly speaking.

No idea, I just don't know those motors and I kind of assumed they would have been alloy for a while.hiluxmad wrote:its a vn injected motor i assume they are still cast then? they are definatley not alloy.
It shouldn't be bolted to the body directly no matter what kind of heads you have... at least that was always my understanding.one option is to use the hilux rad and recore it but if i use an alloy version it is bolted to the body so it would have an obvious conection to the body electricly speaking.
This is not legal advice.
the hilux ones are directly bolted to the rad support.
at least all the ones i have seen are.
never looked under the bonnet of a new one though
might just get the standard one recored.......
