Dual Battery System

Im looking into setting up a dual battery system in my 100series. All i want the second battery for is to run the car stereo, a few lights & probably a fridge in the future when i get around to buying one. Just wondering what people have found to work best for them or just some info as to what i should be looking for....or if you have a system set up for this what you have done. any help would be fantastic

My personal recommendation is the traxide units. Very simple install and reasonable prices.

I've set up a system with an SC80 and a 100a/h gel battery in the back of the wagon. It powers the fridge when fitted, stereo amp's, accessory sockets (on all the time not just with ignition) and when I get to it a reverse/work light.

edit* I could have gotten away with the SC40 but I had thoughts of running a tri-battery setup with a third battery in the engine bay (SC80 would trigger a solenoid) for winching duties. I doubt that will happen any time soon though.

piranha there basic and good ill wire it up for ya if your in sydney for a case of beer

redarc smart solenoids are good reliable and cheap, if you already have 2 cranking batteries fit a heavy duty crank battery, fit a deep cyle on the other side and fit a isolater in the middle, ive done heaps of the new 200 series this way
