Beadlocks

Post by buddha »

Can i just find out if anybody has used or is using these beadlock rims.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-4WD-STEEL-BE ... 414a221937

Got an email back from the seller the other day and he stated the inner (weld on) ring was 4mm thick and the outer ring was 3mm but was strong because of the lip around the edge.

Otherwise , name someone i can get a cost effective beadlock from.

thanks,

You can bet that any of the comp vehicle pics you have seen with a blue ringed beadlock that they are from the same manufacturer.

They work fine. I've used this style for 10 years.

I'm not crazy about the inner rings - they are made from two C's welded together and then drilled, and the quality of the prep and welding of the two 1/2's isn't great.

I've fitted a few sets of these and I "V" the back out of the weld and re weld them - they are only welded from one side.

If you are careful with installation, they can be very true and leak free. Get it wrong and they will drive you mad with leaks and wobbles.

No I don't. I have some one else that makes them and I sell them.

Fitted up right and they work great.

Mine do not leak one bit.

i use the same outer rings on kits i sell but laser cut 6mm inner rings all from one section.

every set i've done has came out great and have had no complaints.

the 3mm outer rings are spun at a joint in Lillydale and they are strong and light do to the rolled edge.

is short, the outer rings are great, but the 4mm inner rings in 2 pieces are not the best.

get the roctoy ones you cheap a$$ :finger: , they look good and will be easier for me to weld on for ya . if you get a cheap set and than aren't happy with them its gunna cost you a whole new set of rims as well , so better of doing it right the first time .

Measure up what you need and go to ya local lazer cutter and get them cut out. Cheap and simple. Just tell them how many bolts you want it them and at what PCD.

Thats what I did. Think I used 5 or 6mm plate. Best off getting the weld in one extra wide so it doesn't cone when the bolts are done up.
