I got on to the engineer that does car compliance. I explained what I want to do and there is know worries. He is also coming out before I chop it to make sure we are on the same playing level so there is know worries when he comes to check it out...
Now my question is he wants to make sure everything is right with the chop so When I go to register the truck it will pass road worthy... But the truck is registered And blue plated with the v8 mods... My understanding is that when the chop is done he will come out pass everything and blue plate it or compliance plate it.. And thats it..
is that correct or when he has done his job I have to go and get a road worthy and register it again.

you have to pay more CTP insurance as utes are higher $ than cars.RV80 wrote:If it's already registered then you just give qld transport a copy of the paper work. And next time you re new the rego the new label will say ute instead of wagon. You will not have to get a roadworthy and he will not worry about the V8 conversion.

Its like $5 but you have to do that before its registered as a ute
