There is not a lot of travel in the Grand vitara front end...
What sort of lift do you have? Have you got longer struts or strut spacers to suit the 2" lift?
The front sway bar actually limits the front ends ability to articulate in a cross axle situation like if the right front wheel is pushed up to full compression the sway bar will not let the left front wheel drop away to full droop...
Removing it helps noticeably but its illegal to run without it and will effect the vehicles handling allowing to body roll more.

It's not a Grand Vitara but the same principles apply, OME struts, Calmini Super Articulator Suspension, Commodore rear shocks, Bumpstop extensions & no swaybars.
As it stands it scored a RTI of 545 on a 30 degree ramp, IFS can be made to work quite well.

Care to share which commodore shocks you're using to get rear travel like that?atari4x4 wrote:It's not a Grand Vitara but the same principles apply, OME struts, Calmini Super Articulator Suspension, Commodore rear shocks, Bumpstop extensions & no swaybars.

from memory they are VT sedan rear shocks, I had to change the sleeve in the bottom bush. the rear get's that much flex the coils bind, hence the bumpstop extensions.mtb4x4mad wrote:Care to share which commodore shocks you're using to get rear travel like that?atari4x4 wrote:It's not a Grand Vitara but the same principles apply, OME struts, Calmini Super Articulator Suspension, Commodore rear shocks, Bumpstop extensions & no swaybars.
