Tough Dog suspension and shocks?
G'day all, just woundering how many people here are using tough dog suspension and shockies? and what they think of them?
i'm thinking of upgrading the suspension in my 80 series and i'm thinking of using tough dog, so if there's anyone here in the know please pm me some prices for shocks and 2" med rate rear springs

There are better options, and persoanlly I would be looking at Lovells springs and Koni shocks for a simple (not cheap) no fuss quality suspension setup.

Another option is Shane at Suspension Stuff. Both great operators.
thanks for the reply's guys but what i'm after is info from people that have or have had tough dog suspension and there feed back on what there gears is like, good or bad etc,
as for lovells and koni's etc i have a pretty budget and need to work within that and get what i need and what will work aswell
idealy what would also be great, would be if someone here works in the industry, and they could pm me some red hot prices so i know where i'm at price wise it may pay me to travel for a better price as the shops up here on the coast seem to hold you over a barrel price wise

i had a look at the linked thread you posted, it seems that a bloke asked a question and got lots of replies some related to what he asked some not and it just filled the thread with bull dung kinda looks like that's what's starting to happen to this thread!!!
i have call both blokes mentioned and i am waiting for both to return my call so hopefully i'll have some idea on good $$ soon

i currently have king springs 2" lift with made in brazil oz something shocks i've only recently brought it, it's a 92 80 series wagon from what i've found out sofar it should sit at 800mm in the front and 810 t0 815 in the rear, (measured from the outter edge of the rim at the bottom)
mines at 795mm front and 775mm rear the rear springs are very soft aswell you can feel it lower in the rear on take off, i have rear drawers and a kaybar with swing away wheel carrier hence the springs being to soft!! i also have a roof rack for it so that'll be more weight on the rear when loaded up, (not that i plan to top load much weight)
i'm looking to set it up as a tourer (inland and fraiser etc as i have some people coming from the states for a few weeks) and do some 4x4 state forests, landcruiser park etc

105 series. Tough dog adj's, snorkel, drawers, IBS, MTZ's, bar, winch...

TD use king springs, the shocks are all imported from various developing countries and the adjustable shock on TD or rancho is a wank an a waste of time and money, if you must get a big ralph shocky
As most everyone else has told you ther are other and better options. Lovells are one of the if not best coil spring around imo, dobbinsons are not far behind. noth will cost you the same RRP as TD \ king. As far as shocks go, an adustble is not a cheap option and there are far better options for the price, but it comes down to the application.

i got my new suspension set up!!! i went for king 2" h/d plus springs front and rear, with efs elite shocks and steer damp, i am very happy with th hight/ look and feel of the ride, got them all at a good price thanks to some shopping around and info from efs, i was thinking of going for the extreme efs range but was told that the elite would be fine for my needs
