Has anyone fitted a pto winch to a D/C hilux before and what did you do to make it fit?
Got a 93 D/C hilux and seeing what i can get away with

as far as im aware you will need to set up a pump to run it off the engine

so it want be a easy job just go electric winch easy as

if your engine not running the winch not running so can be a problem

but the pto hyd is 10 times as powerfull and does not drop its lunch underwater or after the motor overheats

i have been stuck plenty of times before i got my hydraulic pto in the water with engine running winch not
the hydraulic just keeps going and FAST

I've helped guys fix there electric winch not a fun job.
I like the idea of the battery running truck not winch.
Looking at finding a gearbox with a pto drive unit that will fit a 3L motor
or gearbox.
Like the pto hyd thrashlux she looks like a beast

I don't know what it came out of or what's worth. I stripped it for the gears. I still have that part of the case though. It must run off the front gear on the passenger side of the input shaft of the transfer. I'll get photo's if ya want. It's just a standard hilux case but with a side access.

OK that transfer case is like 2 i have out the back of my house

it is from a 1980 model petrol with 18r engine 4 speed box rn 46

i knew about the window never knew that u could get pto adapter for it :lol:
