Fitting 4M41 DiD to NH Pajero

Post by muffins »

I'm just curious to know how hard this would be and whether anyone knows of it being done before. I want to put the 3.2 diesel and gearbox from an NM pajero into my NH petrol pajero. Can this be done? Has it been done?

I'm pretty sure there is a thread floating around the pajero club forum of someone doing this a while ago.

I did it to my NF.
My brother did it to his Gen2 SWB.
Ben (on the Victoria club) did it to his Gen2 LWB.

My project is documented here.

If Ben is the one I'm thinking of, it's an NL Shorty.

Yes,

We exchanged some info while he was doing his transplant, but I unfortunately lost contact with Ben.
I think his handle was 'NLShorty'.

(Must have been a Gen2 SWB, then!)

The engine bays are identical, but the read prop shaft will be shorter.

Didn't he take out a supercharged 3.5 to put the 4m41 in?
