4.2 Petrol gq shorty exhaust to loud?

Post by BrentE »

Just wondering if extractors 2.5inch straight through into hotdog would be too loud? with no cat-converter
I currently have extractors 2.5 inch straight through into massive muffler into hotdog. with no cat-converter

Anyone with some good exhaust systems out there? I dont want it overly loud so i carnt hear music in cab, but still want a good note coming out.

Thanks

I had a 2.5 straight through with a hot dog on my tb42 with extractors. Was very loud and resonated and farted a lot.

Now i have 3inch with a large kink bend muffler. doesn't resonate or pop and is a lot quieter then before. but still sounds bloody loud. :D

if you are running a 2.5" system i woudl just get a lukey ofset ofset muffler.
you need a bit of restriction to give you some torque back down low and midrange that you would have lost with the extractors and large pipe.
