Just a quick question. does the cam on a G13 come out the front or the rear of the head?

Rear.
BLOWNZUK 1.3 efi,sc14 supercharger,hilux diffs,detroit lockers,stage 4 rockhopper,6 point cage,35 muddies.

buggar. this means the head has to come off to swap the cam

Or remove the engine...

Pretty easy to slip out the engine and trans together provided you have an engine crane or block and tackle.
