Landcruiser HZJ75 rear LSD to Front axle

Post by Skits »

Hi all,
Just needing some info on a rear LSD from a HZJ75 series,
I'm putting in a ARB airlocker in the rear and wondering will the rear LSD go into the front axle....

Probably not, unless a very early HZJ75 with a low pinion front diff. Standard HZJ75 front diff is hi pinion 8'', rear is low pinion 9.5''. Unless you change to the older HJ75 front diff in which case the front diff is the same as the rear.

Thx heaps for that,
It's a 1991 model,
Might have to go get a HJ 75 one or just keep saving for the next locker,
Been told to put the Locker in the rear so just thought maybe LSD in front, Just been a thought,

yup, but at some point there was a change to the hzj75 with a 1hz, which may or may not have coincided with the change in front diff from low to high pinion I assume so but dont personally know.
