No penilties for floaties.

This is a tough call to make, If I don't run some sort of handicap system, we are not going to get the new starters, but the seasioned competitors seem to have an issue with not winning under a penilty system.

My way of thinking is that the guy's with the bigger trucks, and faster winches should make up time over the guy's running more standard gear.

And at this stage, we are not running through the Soup Bowl, but that could change. At the moment, it is about chest deep in the deepest spot, and we have only had a couple of inches of rain.

I can understand your predicament bear it`s not easy. There are just alot of guys who have been around and spent lots of hrs working on cars who don`t understand why there arn`t more classes.Trust me everone take notice when a stock car goes well but its about credit where its due.Just don`t fall into the trap of having to do what everone else who is running comps are doing.Tecnical rules mean tecnical blues . Not everone who has a comp car can afford the time to race so they want to make it count. One the other hand you might not want to run a comp to suit but i find it funny that most of the guys racing want to end up with a cool truck when the are finished .Cheers Billy..ps The principal of a race is there is a start and a finish and the fastest wins, pound for pound.....

I hear you Billy. The reasion we don't have more classes is the lack of help. Everyone seem to think it's easy to run these events, but without the right peolpe helping, it becomes that bigger pain that you wonder if it's all worth it.
If we have everyone on the same par, then the guy's that are just starting out are going to get put off because they beleave that there is not way they can win against full comp trucks.

Hey Brad, haven't heard from them yet. I would need to get at least 10-12 definites for we to run stock.

The tracks over the hill are going to be great, rock, big step hills, can't wait. We are doing the hill drags again, as well as setting up a side by side curcuit track. That should be got for spectators.

Hey Perko, our stock class is max 2" lift, max 33" tyres, no lockers, no engine mods etc. I think you would probably fall outside the rules with your vehicle. But fell free to enter anyway, as you you said, it for a bit of fun, it is Easter after all.

Brad, at this stage winches are not compulsary, but highly recomended, but that could change. As you would know, we started this years event as a challenge rather than a winch event, but it all turned bad very quickly, so those that have no winch are going to strugle to complete some of the stages.

Hey Mosko, good to see.

At this stage, change of plan with stages. We will run 5-6 day stages on Sat. I think 8 may be pushing for a 30+ car field.

Should not be a problem since we have sorted the little problem that cost us 2 of the stages. 3 out of 5 is not bad. We are looking forward to it, ah Navman.

Be good to have another Toyota there.
You will be pleased to know that I have some fun little games in store for those competing in the teams events as well.

Also, having a thought for at least one of the stages, having a driver/navi swap for the winch wall. My though is the the driver will have to run the winch while the navi jumps in the drivers seat to proform the winch, and then at the top, swap over again. Dare I ask this question, but does anyone have a problem with letting there navi winch up the wall?

No worries here. My Navman would love to get behind the wheel of a 80 series. Hey Diz??? :D :D He knows the truck, he helped build it and now its play time. Different challenges sounds good. Sorry I am not there for the run this weekend.

As I have said, noms will start from 8.00am Monday the 11th of Jan.

I have had a couple of people ask me if it will really be tough enough to have to have a winch. My answer to this is absolutly YES.

Unfortuneatly I have pulled the flat curcuit track due to it being to hard to keep as a fair track. After the rain we had on the weekend, I think that the track will be almost undriveable from the first team to the last.
