Stevo, I have put some bigger (Bling) wheels on my Magna and will tape off my airbox, but I am concerned that this river crossing may wet my carpet. Is this crossing something I can overcome with huge amounts of momentum?

Hello Boost=money,
As a club we actively promote & welcome any new or potential members to join our small club and the majority of our events.
Not that this changes much but IIRC, CP 1 & 2
were staffed by non members / friends, who had offered up their time to help out with this event. And a BIG Thankyou to all of the Helpers,
(some even may have possibly done so cause they wanted to see some action- seeing as how there was no spectator support at this, our yearly EXTREME Night Run)
It was stated in an earlier post that,

RUN IS RATED HARD TO EXTREME****************** ****
sorry there is no provision for spectator vehicles on this run.

I can only assume this was the case due to what tracks were to be used.
ie no space off the tracks to allow for parked vehicles.
At a guess only, I would assume that turning up as a spectator at a CP
MAY have agitated the said Official.
The world is full of all types of people, as is our club.
If as you say our club has a bad name, then why would you want to
become a member? Anyway I would suggest that you don't let some harsh words stop you or your mates from coming to a club meeting
and see in person what is happening at that level.
PM me an email address and I will email you our last club mag if you like?

Cheers
JB

hello boost=money sorry for wasting your time on saturday night. if by a bit late you mean over an hour then so be it. people that were a bit late were catered for as the run started a bit late anyway. that being said like the reply that was just posted it was stated in earlier posts that there was no provision for spectators. those people that still turned up but turned up on time were catered for and were led to areas where they could watch. Unfortunately as you turned up so late and the run was well under way it was not possible for the organisers to assist you as they were very busy helping the people who were actively participating in the run. The guys that set this run up made four trips out there and spent a total of about 20 hours out of their own busy schedule setting up and running it so i dont think its too!!! much to ask that the people that are there just to have fun could turn up on time.

I also would like to pose the question that if the club has such a bad name why do we continually get large amounts of non club members turning up to our runs with more participants than most other regular events in seq. Again sorry for your inconvenience we do try to cater for everyone. if you would like to come to a meeting and get involved with the club you are more than welcome.

What a FANTASTIC night, well planned, rated well, had a ball... CP's were awesome and I was amazed to see steve take his Hilux up the Bum Crack CP with relative ease, well done Steve and his Navi John. Mick & Geoff in the green hilux gave it a hell of a go and made my wait at that CP highly entertaining. :D Also, a BIG thanks to Geoff Draper for another stint of excellent navigation.

I would like to thank Stevo and ALL the Logan Club Members and helpers for a great night, I appreciate your time and effort in putting on a top night for us all. If anyone can think of a better night out for $10 worth of raffle tickets, let me know!

And to the guy who turned up late, sorry Dude, you missed a good night. Just turn up on time next time, you will be glad you did. The Club can't be more clear than they are on arrival times and start times, they also point out very clearly that this particular event was not suited to spectators.

Anyway, thanks again guys, fantastic night...

many thanks to the logan club, this was the first time on one of your night runs, I must admit i am not very good at using the stick maps LOL, ended up just having a cruise around.

I managed to get my 80 series around the last check point, (3 inch lift, 33's and twin lockers) definatley was the most extreme thing i have done yet

it was nice to know after my attempt that i was the first person to go round it on the night, glad i stayed off the tree next to the big rock step (think it was called the 60 series tree)

i was wondering if the logan club member that was taking pics and assisting me on the stage would be able to pm me so i can get the pics from you.

AGAIN  to the logan club, great night

cheers Glenn

myself and four other 80 series broke off and went our own way, came across your path a few times but completely gave up on trying to follow the map. :? and to make things worse every time we tried to follow others they were as lost as we were.

but still, thanks for organising the night, we still had fun and ended up stumbling across the correct path a number of times just out of order.

hey there's a thought, did anyone happen to map the route with GPS or something??
I'll give it a go......

....... What's the worst that can happen?
