If its a Rocky, then its usually the hinges that squeek on the sunroof. There is a spring loaded catch either side. Remove the sunroof, and spray with wd40 to free up the catches. In the extreme, you may have to insulate the catch from the hook on the sunroof that goes through the catch.

nope its a feroza
but i think its the same system

already sprayed them with wd40
ive had a look and it seems the fiberglass sunroof is hitt something because its all scratched behind the catch thing ...... im going to put silicon on the fibreglass and see if that fixes it....

the roof is pretty wobbly
i think it is because of the design.. 2 catches on the front but only one catch above your head which makes it unstable if you push on the sides next to the doors.
am i clear enough ?

squeeky sunroof

my sunroof also squeeks, ive tried wd40, ive also tried putting some stick on foam on the car where the sunroof rubs (noted that you have missing paint too) that still dosent work, but the design isnt what you would call strong. you could do what i did and install a bigger stereo and crank it up!

Take it off.

If it's not raining or cold my roof can be found behind the front seats.

If it is raining or cold it's closed anyway.

Problem solved.

its the design. i'm betting every feroza owners sunroof rattles when open. i'm sort of use to it now anyway. maybe pinching the steel hinges together may help?

i'm more annoyed by my rear canpy flexing and squeaking - ever since i did dune driving in SA it creaks bad

I used silicon spray on my hinges a while back and now they no longer squeak. It still does the rattling thing over big bumps though- don't think there's much that can be done about that due to the design of the spring loaded hinges?

fixed it with a silicon gun.
took the sunroof off
layed it upside down on the grass got the silicon and applied it to the fiberglass behind the hinges ( the part where its all scratched from bumping and rubbing
waited for the silicon to dry then put it back on ... no more squeaks.... have yet to take it over any big bumps ... but ti is a big improovement.
