1600 X valves in 1300 ?

Post by Luigi Malone »

I am thinking of fitting some G16A exhaust valves to my Sierra 8V head, has anyone done this. Is it worth the hassle?
And what do I need besides the valves, seats maybe? anything else?
TIA

Yes I have done this .. was a good mod cost me about $150 or so ( I supplied the head, also had the cam reground .. and head ported and inlet and exhaust ports matched to the extractors and inlet manifold..

Now I want the 1.8 kit for the bottom end ..
:D

Thanks, but how much could you attribute to just the valves I wonder?
I had a reply from an mercain vendor who says "don't waste your money and time."
I will have to spend a bit more than your $150, just a cam grind was $125 here.
Has anybody else experience with the bigger valves?
My mind tells me that bigger has to be better, but that's the trouble with being a male isn't it?
