hilux 3L LN106 over heating

Post by luggys lux »

Hi i have just rebuilt my 3L motor and it is overheating after about 30 min of driving, it has a brand new radiator, so replaced thormostat, no good, then gutted thormostat still no good, replaced water pump no good, bolted the fluid drive fan so it runs off the fan belts directlly still no good, then i pulled the head off had it all re-done (again) the top of the block decked and installed the head back on with a new gaskit still no good, i have flashed the block to get rid of air locks, but still no good

CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME
if you would like to call that would be great

What are the fan shrouds like, fit some 1/4 self adhesive backed foam to them so that there are no leaks between shroud and rad.

Beyond that, get the coolant tested for CO, any rad place can do that, this will confirm combustion gasses into the cooling system or not, so save you taking it down when not needed.

Is the injector pump overfuelling?

Is the ac condensor blocked externally with leaves, feathers etc.?

Can you idle the motor up to operating temp from cold, or will it just overheat even doing that?
Was it overheating before you rebuild the motor?
