3rds productions drop arms
3rds productions drop arms
hi all i have these 3rds productions drop arms in the front of my gq the bushes in them are shot and needs new one's do i have to get onto the company that made the arms to get new one's? i have got some in threw repco and there not the right one's

hrmmmmm thats a lil bizarre i could have sworn 3rds use factory bushes ..... just had my 3rd panhards replaced and they are stock nissan ones .......

Which bushes
Which bushes are u talking about? The pin end bushes into the chassis? Or the front eye bushes to the diff? Cos 3rds use a nylon bush at the pin end to secure the hinged end in place but Nissan use rubber bushes on the pin end of stock arms. Mine have the hard nylon ones in the pin but so did my mates and it caused the mount to crack around the weld in sleeve so he put stock bushes in. Gets a bit more flex now too.

but ew, all that sounds scary. Honestly double hinged action at the chassis end, due to flex in the pin along with the bush in the arm

not gonna lie to ya the 3rds arms are pretty good I reckon. My car still handles like it did before I lifted it. I did expect more flex out of it but without going as far as 5 link I reckon the arms are the next best thing. Though I am gonna try out pulling the front passenger side bolt out from where it bolts to the diff and see how that goes. I did research on x-link and from a mechanics point of view I reckon they a waste of time.
