I REALLY REALLY don't think you should do this. As in strenuously don't think you should do this for so many reasons.
It's a mixture of public and private land.
On the public gazetted road parts it's the equivalent of holding an organized race on a public road. On the private land or the pipline section (council easement) it's tresspass while holding an event. Not cool
Then there's the liability issues of holding a comp on land of any kind without permission of the landholder. - if someone gets hurt you WILL go to jail for a long time and your family will be phwucked forever.
Then there's the fact that this is one of the ONLY wheeling spots left in the area and we REALLY DON'T need some muppet holding a comp and holding a spotlight on to the area. It needs to be kept as low profile as possible.
I know you are probably a decent bloke who just wants to have some fun with others but you have been warned. If you continue to go ahead with this you are a grade A twit. Until a year ago i have lived in the area for over thirty years and have seen our wheeling areas disappear faster than the urban growth that is killing our bushland. You really shouldn't do this.

Re: CANNED

good idea, but dont be discouraged.
MMM"s 1st events were held on private property at morayfield, with the land owners permision, & everyone to get 3rd party insurance extension (that costs 15 to 20 $$$) it was fine. the property he used is now a housing estate.
I to have held similar events on private propertys before being developed eg
Forest Lake (before it was developed) I approached Delfin (the developers) with the plan I had,the fact that it was being backed with a 4wd club insurance, & each vechicle had 3rd party insurance extension to be in it.
& all proceeds (after expences were taken out) would go to the charity of their choice..
just a thaught..
cheers piglet

X2 - It can be done. Obviously since it's been done before. Just a little more planning and choice of venue. If you're still keen go for it.pigletracing wrote:good idea, but dont be discouraged.
