and how they have mounted them to the chassis

here are mine simple but strong and effective



i dont have any pics of them being made, forgot to get some. but they are tap plated to the chassis. meaning, there are 2 plates welded to the chassis each has 4 holes cut with a 12mm tapped threads (12mm plate being used). then on the legs of the sliders there are plates with 4 holes at say 16mm. these are then welded to the slider and then the slider can be bolted with high tensile bolts and spring washers to the plates on the chassis. I think it is similar to cheezy racing. Either way they are bloody strong

yeh might be strong but welds to the chassie are a big NO NO.

Id go off the bracket with a nice strong u bolt to loop the chassi

Reason it is a big no no is because some welds are placed and not distributed on the chassis, correct me if im wrong. I still think i would rather a plate welded than U bolts, they can place large stresses in small places and then crease the chassis. each to their own i guess and also depends on the strength of the slider and how you will be using the vehicle

could just use flat bar either side of your chassis with bolts going through and clamping them tight to the chassis.Not ideal in that you will have some steel hanging down below chassis height but its strong and only steel....just drag it.Then you can have your sliders welded to the flat bar and gusseted and everything is removeable etc and no welding to the chassis with risk of creating weak points,cracking.

Or bend up some flat to loop around your chassis and clamp at top of rails.Does away with the clearance issue

Dosent matter... welds area a no go, we all know that. Youv got these short ass lil bolts going into this plate, me, knowing what i know, it is a fark load stronger to hug or wrap something then just try n attach to one face lol. Dont need for a rocket scientist here.
