Custom Exhaust Vic

Post by zackde »

Looking to get a new exhaust done on my 80 series. Now has an LS3 can any one recommend a shop that does good work. Around the Bayswater , Lilydale area would be an advantage.

Performance Exhaust in Ringwood, they fixed the monstrosity that another guy fabricated and their work was excellent.

Headers for a 304 in a 4 runner BTW, so your job sounds right up their alley.

Cheers

Hmmmmmmmmmm maybe not..... have had a few bad reports about their work..... dinting HPC coated headers to make them fit, manifolds that leak through the welds.

Exhaust Fix lilydale........ awesome job on my car, haven't heard a bad thing about them yet.
Rum injected

Might give Lilydale a shot next time then, Ringwood did a good job on mine but that is the only feedback I have for them.

I just got my system re done on my hilux too, was an absolute mess so started again. Unique exhuast in barry st bayswater. Got it up on the hoist with me there and we threw around best ideas for what i wanted and what he thought would be the best result all round. Couldnt recomend them more highly, isnt the first exhuast they have done for me always happy to help with little stuff too.

I spoke to unique in Bayswater about headers for my V8, they said they don't do that sort of thing, I said you should change your name then :finger:

its not like there called unique headers. They have been around for a very long time. Alot of exhuast shops wont make custom headers.

X2. they used to do all the stuff for my workshop, and i still send customers there. they know thier stuff and they 'MOUNT' things very nicely and don't take shortcuts in this or other areas. i'm fussy with zorst joints.....this is the only one i will recomend.....................(and yes, i've had dealings with some of the others mentioned here!)

Back when we were 18 my mate got qouted for extractors and a mandrel bent system on his sss pulsar. He knew nothing we just told him what to ask for. They beat in the extractors for clearance and used an off the shelf press bend system. When we took it back they told we had damaged the headers an they never mentioned anything about mandrel bends. Never been back to Performance since, wouldnt buy rubber hangers from them.
