Hi all,
I managed to get a hold of a TB45 at a good price so decided to put in my old 89 gq. All has gone well just finishing of a few bit and pieces. So tonights mission was to get the tacho working. Looking at wiring diagrams for TB42S TB42E and TB45E I was hoping I would be able to connect the tacho signal wire straight to the ecm tacho output. Unfortunatley this didnt work. I did manage to get it to work by pulling apart the tb45 dizzy/coil and taking a feed from there however its not ideal. I was wondering
a) has anybody done this before?
b) does anybody have a picture of the back of the instrument cluster on a tb42e and can tell me what pins are being used. (there a 4pins on mine and only 3 being used) one labeled D-TAM is not being used wondering if it is used in TB42E.
Thanks
