install the body lift yourself, its a piss easy job to do, could do it by yourself in a day, even with fiddling around.
there was a thread on this not long ago, use the search function at the top of page.
or you could pay someone to do it for you.
as for engineers, pm bubs, he should know who can cert. your body lift

No need for engineering of a bodylift. Just an inspection at QT and few forms.

Search.

Not so much "no need" as can't "engineer" them - there is no "code" for an engineer to "sign off", there is no mod plate. Fill out the QT form, wait for it to come back, install the body lift, take it to QT Caboolture for an inspection (apparently they're nicer than the city mob... )

Note: when you go to QT for the inspection they put it over the pits. They WILL look at more than just the body lift - make sure the vehicle is roadworthy, because they'll pick it if it's not. Clean (inside and out) makes it look like you maintain your vehicle well, so they may not look as hard.

No need for "Engineer Inspection", as you can legally have a 2" suspension lift + a 2" body lift in QLD. As far as I am aware the QT form is a self assessment form which you can just post in as their is no requirement for QT inspection....... Jeff

QLD Dot do inspect the vehicle after the bodylift is installed.

1.You fill in the form
2. Wait for the approval letter to come in the mail.
3. Install the lift.
4. Book inspection with the Dot centre they nominate on the approval letter.
5. Go to inspection, whole vehicle is checked over (even if its only 3 months old like mine was). If they are happy with the install, and the roadworthy-ness of the rest of the vehicle, they will stamp the approval letter.

Did all this process a few months ago on my hilux.
