We are currently testing a hi steer set up for an 80 series. As soon as its ready to be sold we will post it up here.
The reason they are flat is as you explained with the draglink going into the tie rod it allows alot more wheel travel without the ends binding. The tie rod end angle only changes very slightly from full lock to full lock without any binding, therefore it isnt necessary to machine the top on an angle. If the arms had a double hole on the passengers side it would be absolutely necessary to have them machined on an angle so the draglink doesnt bind when articulating.

Cool.
What tierod ends are you using?
RUFF wrote:Other than this question these arms looked great. I also like the idea of both arms having only one hole and the intermidiate steering link conecting to the drag link. This allows for a lot more flex with less bind.
Hmm sounds interesting I hadnt noticed the single hole untill you posted that Ruff.
Can someone post a pic of the steering fitted up to a lux?
Also another Question I have is can a steering dampner be fitted to the High steer?
I have noticed that a lot of people running High steer dont run them.
Is one necisary or is it just a personal preferance?
Paul.

Generally personal preference. Steering dampeners are normally a band aid fix for a different problem.

The other reason some fit Dampers is when running larger diameter tyres on the street that are generaly fitted to beadlocked rims so cant be balanced easy.
I have a Band Aid

You wont have any issues with the tierod or draglink hitting the chassis. Overkill Engineering have fitted quite a few on solid axle swaps of different heights and has never reported any issues.
