Desk top Dyno

Post by Dozoor »

Ok wizz kids , anyone have this gadget on there pute Desk top dyno.?

Trying to come up with some maybe figures for hypothetical setup on zook donks ,

Only on 1.3 single overhead cam .

standard output 49 kw .101nm

Lpg is 110octane -4% volumetric efficiency , Now i want to work out the highest possible CR minnus .5 for relability you could run with ,
Would use a timing tamer like a Jacobs or somthing , To keep the knock monster at bay. ;)

Once we work the CR out slip it into the DTD to get a guestamation on the new output figure .

Then another figure same setup but with 1.4 capacity.
(BIG BLOCK )

Any ideas ?

I have played around with a trial version of a prog called Desktop Dyno.
Input a heap of data about your engine, bore & stroke, cam timing. CR, venturi size of carb and heaps more and it spat out a whole heap of data at the end. Was a good thing and seemed some what accurate. Can't remember where I found it though.
