bullbar trouble :( :(

Post by Daisy »

Ok fellas.

In a GQ patrol

I went on a spending spree early this year and sourced myself a TJM steel bullbar with a 8274 hi mount winch on it.

My current bullbar is a TJM non winch alloy bar.

Now... went to the cleveland swap meet just recently and bought myself some lovely lightforce XGT's and.. bang.. it doesnt fit my alloy bar (the steel one is in sydney atm) and i looked on a bar simliar to it. and I cant see how the XGT's will fit on a bar WITH a hi mount winch.

I see

1. - Sell the hi mount, sell the steel TJM bar, sell the alloy bar and source myself a xd9000 winch with a compatible bullbar and mount the XGT's on it

2. - Get a custom made bullbar - eg cheezy - but looking at hottiemonster's pictures - he has small lights on it and the XGT's are farily large with the hi-mount.

3. Chop up the TJM bar and fabricate a tube high enough to surround the winch and the XGTs??

4. Your input - know of a bullbar thats XGT AND hi mount compatible??

Thanks fellas for the input. Much appreciated.

cheezy's bar comes with 2 tabs at the top in the middle (not where HM has his lights, they are just a hole drilled in the plating to suit the lights), so the only size issue on a cheezy bar is how much of the road u want/don't want to see!

Mount them on top of the bull bar, they don't block very much of your field of view at all.

using my pics without permission ben.

yeah there are two holes on the top of the bullbar for spotties but i didnt want em up there yet, maybe will run 2 sets later, so cheezy drilled some holes in it for where the lights are now. these are not standard holes and have to be drilled extra.
