Sorry, the GT2860RS is nicknamed the "disco potato".

Google it and you'll see why, but it made that 300sx boogie!

Sorry, I thought you were talking about a Landy Disco.

TD05 is a great turbo, try to get the one with a 20g compressor wheel. The standard 12g wheel will die early if you give a bootfull. 16g is nice but 20g is better and you'll piss all over any nissan that comes near you (can't believe I just typed that?).

I looked for ages for one with a T3 exhaust flange (that's what the patrol turbo mainifold flange is) but just missed one off fleabay that was rebuilt. Bugger! (pardon the pun)

Denco use the TD05 for the troll and cruiser aftermarket kits and I am almost certain they use the 16g compressor and turbine wheel. I tried to buy one from them in Toowoomba but they would not split a kit. Too bad, spent the same money gettin a turbo that I am just sooo happy with.

If you can get a second hand TD05 and get a 16g or 20g wheel and take it too a reputable turbo shop to be rebuilt, you will not look back. Parts are easy to get and they are a reliable turbo. If your going to boost over 16psi with a TD05, ensure a 360 degree thrust bearing is included!

The egt's won't be that noticable. But you will notice the engine tapering off sooner as the backpressure builds sooner.

I'm running a T25 with a 0.49 A/R exhaust housing on a 3.9L Isuzu. 0.64 on a T28 is fine for a 4.2 until you plan to push stilly boost levels.

Kiwi Bacon is right, my GT2860RS is .64 and is ready for launch at 1400rpm. Full boost at 2000 and holds to redline!

is that a modified CT26 or are you going for a Garret?
I would spend a little extra and get a suitable Garrett ball bearing turbo.

yea i have heard of people running them at 18. i think 14 is standard psi on the 1hdft so you would think they should be able to handle plenty more than that
