This brace is a PITA. To make it clear the wipers and the bonnet, it has to stick way up high which looks ugly and is annoying as it interferes with your vision whilst driving. Ask me how I know And mine only has 15mm clearance from the wipers. The sexier option is to run one under the wipers and inside/under that louvred panel (valence panel ?) entering and exiting through the guards. Only ever seen it done once on pirate to an old shitter and dont know if it would work it you had air con ducting but is certainly the more asthetically pleasing option. I plan to change mine slightly but I will retain it in some shape or form. And I also doubt whether DOT would like it as if you hit a pedestrian and they go up the bonnet, their limbs could easily get stuck under the bar and stay there whilst the rest of their body goes up the windscreen and over the roof.

After building one of these myself I can appreciate the smooth lines of this cage. Although personally I think it needs something protecting the rear corners of the cab below the door handle height. And I assume that the front guards will be cut to match the taper at the rear of the brush bars?
Looking great all the same

Is it legal to have it across the windscreen?
