Tb42e and gas research

Post by Jimbo »

I currently have an impco 200 mixer in my tb42e gq but wanting to go gas research for various reasons.

With a GR setup do i keep the standard throttle body with the TPS??

How much can i expect to pay to have one fit and tuned?? (i'm in melb).

thanks

james

Gasresearch is a new throttle body, the TPS mounts to it. There is a bit of fiddling in installing, due to the reverse direction of the throttle, the TPS needs to be replaced with a VL unit or fitted upside down (by drilling a hole for the shaft in the cover). You need a matching Gasresearch converter as the primary and secondary spring pressures are different and it will not be tuneable with a standard impco converter.

Pm me and I'll go through it in more detail if you want.
