--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
hey guys i have a few too many questions. First this is my 2nd real 4wd both being GQ, first was 4.2 N.A and this is wagon to extra cab 4.5L with gu motor. Its a 89 mod with 6" lift, f+R lockers, 4.6's, rockhopper gears, Trip batteries, full tube custom tray, Shortned chassis, 5 link front,35" mudzillas, f+R winch mounts (no hi-mounts there yet ; 4.5L unichipped, extracted, sports exhausted etc So please dont call me dumb and stuff if i make silly quotes or questions... Just a rookie trying to get out there...
1) I have a 6" lift etc and have read up about "Strengthing shock mounts" Now i am building it up to also compete so i was wondering how this is achevied and at what costs.?
2) I wont more power..Next year going full make over with engine rebuild and Turbo OR a supacharge. Now i have looked it all up and theres been a few buildups but with little info. Im chasing rough Info on what needs to be done invloving the rebuild and a rough guesstimate of prices?? Also what turbo or charger setup would suit me best and once again what is the price for a good setup?
3) Full respray, (homejob of bogging etc) of car back in original colours, extra cab, silver over blue. Rough guesstimate at what id be looking at? Now would it be best to get motor rebuilt somewhere while its out of the car?
4) can someone give me a good link to air setup. As i have a custom bar with built in airtank and have searched and cant find a decent buidup.
5) We just had a lil baby girl and i have the wagon cab with 2 wrx seats and centre console. Now i want to convert back to the dickie seat thing because you can get approved to have a baby seat in the car. (person in gladstone her does a kit up and mod plates it etc) Now is this possible to do in a wagon at all??? or would i have to make a custom setup?? Obviously i would have to get rid of the centre console, (it already has the auxillary handbrake postion like in the utes) change the handbrake over, and buy a dickie seat. Please help if you know of someone who has done this because the missus aint even letting me get out the garage because she loves 4wding too but we onyl have 2 seats...Helpp before she destroys me!
Thanks guys

A few questions...
I can only help (maybe) with the air setup.
This is a diagram of my setup....
The run down is>
From compressor I have a small section of hose and "tee's" etc that has a pressure switch, gauge, lockers and tank branching from it.
The line to the lockers is regulated to 85psi
From the "branch" to the tank is a manual valve (that I reach behind my centre console) so I can isolate the tank from compressor.
From the tank, I run an airline out to each side of my tray, with a regulated (50psi) air horn line too.
This setup means if I want to run lockers, I isolate the tank, charge the small section of hose and tee's (150psi) in sweet f all time.
As soon as I want volume I can reach the valve from driving position and I then have 40L of 150psi air to run rattle guns etc.
This has proven to work very well. Only thing I would change is from electric to belt driven (onboard air).
Hope that has helped/what your interested in.
Put some pics up of your truck, sounds sweet
Have fun
