I was thinking the same..
but it will depend where in aussie you live.
The problem is the only people that will buy that are a small group that can get a dodgy roady. Especially in Qld. $3500 too $4500. Best to keep it or put all standard stuff back on it and sell modded stuff seperately.

um, hypothetically speaking, you could immorally increase your resale value by changing your dash cluster out for a lower k's one, that's hypothetical only of course

I know you are "hypothetically speaking" but even suggesting changing the odometer reading to increase the value of the vehicle pisses me off. Imagine if you purchased a car in good faith that had the speedo wound back??? Immorally doesn't cut it for me .. it's a crunts act .... no doubt about it.
Of course, the condition of the car is usually a dead give away to those that know what to look for. And the other good news is that in Qld you are likely to now get caught doing that because they record the speedo reading at every ownership transfer (yes a flawed system I know but better than the nothing we had before) so if the car has changed hands recently the speedo reading is available through a V-Check.

Its checked at every re-rego, not just transfers.
No its not, the expired rego notice comes in the post, I pay it with my credit card and a new rego sticker comes in the mail. Where is the checking of the odometer in that transaction?

Just ot clarify what I said (and lets not get too far from my point about crunts winding back speedos), the mileage is recorded on the Qld Transport system when the car is transferred to another owner or when re-registration occurs when previous rego has expired.
Of course, you could always ignore the outers oracle (where no one is prepared to pay for anything) and just stick your own price on it, but still being realistic.
In reality, its worth what the market is prepared to pay. And what you're prepared to take.

In Victoria, every road-worthy check requires the vehicle odometer reading on it. No doubt this gets recorded somewhere so it can be cross checked at a later date.
I'd say $5-6k. Don't advertise it with wheeling pics though. Clean it up (detail it), and present it all nice and clean/shiny.
thats why so many people love patrols cos their "cheap".... untill they want to sell them and realise how much they drop in value, as the toyota landcruisers hold their value alot better, all my cruisers ive had and sold have got my money back if not a lil more, same as fords and holdens ford market value drops like flys
