Ok so spell it out us slow people in the back row.
You aren't doing this to the coiled Sierra but to another one? what is wrong with the coil sprung one? Or is it for the g/f? Or is it because stalking TH is getting too hard with all the restraining orders?
You will also need to grow a handlebar mo and get a little sausage dog for trail riding.

OK I will type S-L-O-W. I have a Suzuki Sierra that has the prototype Overkill coil conversion. It's charcoal coloured, you now the bling bling one. I am going to turn THAT ZUK into a THR.
There is NOTHING wrong with the coil conversion (It will live on in a "different" form). It rides smooth, flexes very well and is VERY compatent off road. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!
I wanna build a THR.....that is it......When I first got back from the US I swore I'd build one and now I'm gonna!
even consider selling your coil one intact as it is. could make plenty back to fund the THR.
Yeah I agree sell the coil converted one and use the funds to start from scratch. You could sell it to me for a small fee if you like or maybe swap it for my ute

I agree - sell it to grimbo - then he can stop whinging about his current zook and start whinging about the new one

i dont get why he has his tyres so flat?
or is it to "brake in the sidewalls"
btw any 1 know what tyres they are?
35 Inch BFG MT KM because he likes to wheel without valve cores .. shot taken during the 2002 petersons ultimate adventure tour

bet he has a heep of diff clearance
because he can. he is the sort of guy that will do stuff just cause he can. he did Top Truck years ago in a silver Zuk towing a trailer cause he could, almost won it too! He isn't scared of putting the Zuk into all sorts of strange lines to get it thru an obstacle. It was his wifes Zuk originally and he took it out once realised how nice it was and then it looked the after pic
Yeah but after seeing pic's of what he can do in his zook its hard to say that he's doing something wrong.
As you know the tallest truck doesn't always win out in the trails!

then i shared my bed with 2 second tom... [/quote]
In the article in the yank mag they say he runs suburu burfields any one know what they would have come out of? I figure they must be tough the way he drives on 35s.

i hope your gonna build a better cage than is in that thing, looks to be severly lacking the the diagonal bracing department
You doubt it so .. but it has been seriously thrashed .. the whole vehicle including driver is only 800 or so Kg ... that cage has been used 100's (litterally) of times .. it still looks perfect to me ..

maybe so, but i bet its tweaked to hell. hard to tell from the photo's. it isn't that hard to add some diagonal bracing........oh well, its his life

I'll give you a hint. A tyres tractive ability is influenced by it's "footprint". A wide footprint will give good lateral traction ie wide tyres handle better (generally). A long footprint will give good axial traction ie tall tyres better for accel/decel ie top fueller
With his pressure (vacuum) so low his ground clearance would be similar to a 30/31 tyre but with a L-O-N-G footprint for AWSUM axial traction

Trail tough axles are a commercially available version of TH axles

Sidewinders would be cooler though - and that would match the bling rims you'll be running
But they have a larger centre in them = less clearance for same tyre
