I don't like it. Looks like one of the stick-on scoops you'd find on Davo Smiths POS VK Commodore.

I thought it was fiberglass - even injection mould plastic would be <20!..

The bottom section on their site talks about air flow in through the scoops and they have a valid point in that the air flow through the scoop is limited by the ability of the IC to allow air through it.

Either way I'd be interested in a similar scoop for 1/4 of the price they are asking.

The complete page is an impressive read.

Got to hand it to small-medium company's that spend so much time and money on R&D and presumably only gain small returns.

We currently are working on a fg and cf replacement for the GU which stays factyory look, but doubles the size of the opening, and flows better all over the intercooler face.

Scoop looks terrible, I don't doubt it works though. Be interested to see what Assassin comes up with.

Probably be to much of a Champagne taste for your lemonade budget, bogged, but will fit into the market nicely.

Should be in stock by the time you buy the cheaper one, find its not right, you dont like it, and then spend good money twice, getting the right one 2nd time around :finger:

$220.00 for the scoop - $528.00 for the scoop and the louvre

I've just bought this for $140.00. It's 60mm high as opposed to the 40mm height of the Nissan scoop:

The issue is the opening size AND distributing the air evenly, normally most of the air goes through the back of the IC
The louvre fixes this apparantly. A new larger scoop by itself may not achieve much

I agree its alot of cash for something simple but he did spend time developing it - might not sell many, Nissan just has to change bonnet shape and he is back to sq 1
Oh hang on they already have changed - He's lucky IC scoop looks the same footprint
Also theres a new model around the corner, bet its not the same.

The joys of "add on" product R&D

By getting 84% more airflow through by just bolting a scoop is pretty good value IMO
