Hey. Does anyone know hwy my electric tailgate window on my 90 4runner has stoped working? Any suggestions on what to do to try and fix it?

Which of the three fuse boxes is it in mate? And could the curcuit breaker be had it?

could just be a bit of corrosion (spl?) on the contacts of the switch in cab, seen that a few times.

because something has broken.







seriously, give more detail. does it go up? does it go down? does it work with only the key? does it work with only the button? is the window lock button pressed? is the windscreen wiper seated properly? can you hear a relay click? can you move it by hand? can you type better?

mine would go up and down with key and only up in the cab it turned out the contacts in the switch were dirty

try replacing the switch.. mine in my 86 runner used to die every 6 months or so.. $7 rocker switch from jaycar fixed it every time

there would have been something else wrong if it kept on dieing... would have been an underlaying problem elsehwere

it is probably the module in the rear panel they are notorious for packing it in
Keep it shiny side up!
Now doing general fab work and painting
trays, trailers, engine swaps on request, some tube work, silo section sliders, rust repairs, ute chops etc
