i know the nissan gq petrol was fuel injected from 92 on....the maverick is just a rebadged nissan is it the same motor tb42e from 92 on as or did it stay carby

yeah i was pretty sure they were a carby.
could be wrong. dont know alot about the blue ovals

afaik only RX and TI from late 92 on (the start of gq11) arethe only ones that where fuel injected.

All petrol Mav's were carby, something to do with keeping the costs down. I have a '93 model, I believe that was the last year that they were built.
