I've got a set of wide rhino aero bars on the cruiser. Long skinny pod on one side, 1/2 steel rhino mesh basket on the other. The basket only covers 2 bars and could be 600+ longer.
It's also VERY heavy and has poor aerodynamics despite the bag.
I was thinking I could make one up from thin wall rectangular alloy box channels and alloy !rivets! then having it either powdercoated or anodized.
Yes - I know Rhino sells them - but not in the size that I want - and for too much $$$.
I've seen others use alloy security mesh - but that screams 80's to me. (screams 60's actually - 60 series wagon's)
Anyone done anything similar? Tips / thoughts?
Tips on anodising vs powdercoating?
Thanx
Paul
