coilovers illegal in qld?????
was looking at desert gear australia king coilover kits for a GQ/GU the other day and was told by them that qld tpt has changed the laws on the 30 september to make coilovers illegal.......whats the go with that? i know qld tpt hate them on hotted up little cars because of the adjustability to lower them to below the minimum 100mm clearance rule but this shouldnt have anything to do with fitting them to 4wds -raised.... not lowered to their bumpstops for wank factor. you would still have to be able to get the coilovers engineered/plated i would have thought? the kits to suit jeeps give awesome travel with complete adjustabilty/tuning. anyone in the know????
Maybe try talking to Qld Transort first for the truth, unless there are people here that actually work for them or have intimate knowledge of the rules/regs. One phonecall.
