GQ/GU Crank for auto

Post by JJ Demo »

are they the same, i have just got a auto box to put in my td4.2 gu but the box came from a gq safari 12v. Have now been told the flex plate is different as the crank is larger in the gu but info may be wrong. Has any one done this conversion and if so can i give you a call for more info? my number is 0433941047.

thanks

not to sure but a mate tried to put his turbo diesel gq motor into a pertol auto patrol and the diesels crank has 5 rear bolts and the petrol has 4 or vice versa,so no fit, he presumed it would fit as lots of petrol and diesel parts are simmular like the exhaist manifolds etc
