hey just put a 2h back in my hj75 and wilst idling or reving in neutral it blows bugger all smoke but when accelerating in gear it blows a hell of a lot of white/grey smoke just wondering if somebody might be able to give sum advice on whats up with it

Im no mechanic but Ive been told that this is due to rich fuel mixture, unburnt fuel. Another option would be to increase the boost but all these changes should be done on a dyno.

The fuel control on mine will play silly buggers occasionally and get stuck on "overfuel" (it goes to overfuel for starting) so when I put my foot down in traffic it belches smoke out the back. However, being unburnt diesel, it's all BLACK smoke.
Mind you, when it's hard to start sometimes it will belch clouds of blue/white/greyish smoke, which is also apparently unburnt diesel.....
