Resprays???

Post by swbpatrol »

Gooda
I was wondering if i could get some info. I took my SWB Patrol GQ into the shop the other day to get a quote for a respray. They quoted me $4000. I thought it was pretty steep and as there are only 3 panel shops in kalgoorlie it would be a shit job anyway. The paint itself is not to bad but could do with a respray. Its main problem is the chips that will turn into rust. and there is a rust hole either side of the door behind the skin. Is it as easy as sanding the spots back and giving it a coat of primer from a spray can and then the base colour from a spray can or should i not attempt it and fork out $4000. Does anyone know any decent panel beaters in Perth???? What have others paid for a respray???

You could just touch up the chips etc but is the paint metallic :?: Makes touch up work harder if it is ;)

Also how often do you go offroad, ie can you justify $4000 if it'll be farked in a month anywho :?:

$4000 = Airlockers and a winch (almost)
