Ryano @ Fourbys.

If you're after BFG A/Ts you could also consider Bridgestone Desert Duellers (Australian Made - or they were, until recently  ) or look at the silverstone BFG clones.

i had a great run out of a set of the scorpions. Very nice handling on the bitumen and not too shabby on the dirt. $280 i think the last one i brought was, but i think that was an AT not an ATR

The silverstones seem to be pretty good offroad, but they don't balance well.

Yes, they have been excellent tyres - very happy.

Whisper quiet on the road and silky smooth, heaps and heaps of traction and also bloody good on smooth rock. Ihave bought these as roadies, but the bits offroad that I've done have been good, but I have not had them in anything more than damp sandstone clay/dirt where they were fine - I expect that mud is not their forte. The pattern is a lot more open than the pics would have you believe.

BTW, mine are also 285/75-16. At the time Pirelli were not importing that size in that tyres - so I bought them ex-US. Its not terribly difficult, but its not just driving down to the local tyre shop either.
Cheers

Have you looked at the General Grabber AT2s. A very good tyre made in America by Continental Tire Company. Imported into Australia by Dynamic Tyres. Well priced too. PM me tomorrow for a price if you like.
