Ferozza brake drum siezed on
New to the 4WD game - got my Ferozza bogged at beach launching boat. Washed all out well with fresh water and then went away for 5 weeks for work. Seems like left rear brake drum is siezed. Can move vehicle after some working back and foward, but just but like hnd broke on. Anyways I cant get the brake drum off. Is there a special brake drum puller for the Feroza F300 series? Other suggestions? thanks all
If your going down the bolt approach ( the best if the holes aren't butchered ) make certain to apply pressure EVENLY to the bolts so as not to put uneven pressure on the drum.
Personally I'd give the axle/drum interface a good soaking in WD40 and then get friendly with the rubber hammer to hopefully break the initial bond.
Luck..... you may need it.
I was very glad to say goodbye to the Feroza drums - handbrake was useless, and normal breaking wasn't much better. Got full of crap and and......
Disks rule, and its hard to beat Park on an Auto.

( usual disclaimers )
It seemed like a much better idea when I started it than it does now.
