We don't have a lot to be excited over yet. I'm sure that as Pete A releases more info the excitement will build.

Until then, I'll sit here and twiddle my thumbs. :P

Current nominations are up on the website. Hopefully we'll see a few more teams before time runs out.

http://www.tufftruck.com.au/TTC10_Competitors.html

Would be good to be able to click a link to see the truck stats. The sorting and filtering option is pretty cool. Almost half the field are lux's or cruisers.

hey, I was talking to Heathx4 the other day about the camping arrangements. Basically we were wanting to organise a group of us together. Last year it was just him and me camping together and everyone was scattered everywhere. I realise Twon will be in the competitors area but who else will be on feral hill from Newy Crew?

Oh, and who are doing the shirts this year?

Hey Manda, Greg is doing the shirts again I believe. As for camping - no idea.

Can someone from TE let us know what the camping situation is for this years event? Is it family and slightly less family? or will everyone be together?

Just on the camping...

Last year the Feral's were located near the competitors area and the families on the hill... Seemed that ferals made it back to the hill...

would it be worth investigate putting the family area where the ferals were last year and the feral's back on the hill?

Also will remove the noise after midnight when the competitors are trying to sleep?

Just a thought.

I was alluding to the fact there shouldn't be any ferals this year ;)

Also, Ferals were on the opposite hill this year, compared to past years. :D

Unfortunately we are not gonna make the trip out to camp this year at
this stage.
No one we usually head up with is going, so we havn't pre-booked and
pre-paid for our camping yet until we know for sure whos coming.
What is the actual cut-off date..

Might come up for a day or so to watch, it is TT after all,
but the whole pre-book for camping and all this added security and police
has turned off alot of people from what I've heard. Which is a big shame
would hate to see TT slip under the radar like most of the 4WD comp
scene in NSW. Might come up in the Corona tho so I don't get any troub
from the boys in blue. The lux is lookin a little haggard these days.

Unfortunately Most of my mates are under the impression (incorrectly)
that Tuff Trucks now caters more to families and pure enthusiasts only
like us. I mean it'll be great for the rowdyness and idiots, but if you
slash numbers by a few K its really gonna feel like a different event.

We actually have to try and convince people to come this year, and with
all the effort involved for a simple camping trip I don't think we'll be
able to.

I just hope Tuff Trucks lives on.
I have been going since 2002 and have seen it grow and grow.
it would be terrible to see it go the other way.

From what you've heard heaps of people are turned off by extra security and police being there. . . . . . . . . .?
GREAT
Those pissed off with the thought of police being there are most likely the morons we don't want there anyway  .
I'd love to see a thousand less idiots through the gates, and the rest be all enthusiasts who go there to see the brilliant engineering and driving skills, rather than see who can pass out the quickest. There's nothing wrong with having a few drinks, but some don't seem to know when to stop.
I highly doubt Tuff Truck will die, there is too much interest and involvement in the event for it to die.
Everyone loves a 40!
