I've only got the gearbox mod on mine. The car wanders a bit in the steering as it is lighter. You can put the locking hubs on but the ABS won't work and go to normal braking (NON ABS). Insurance company won't like the ABS not working. You can get 79 cv's and hubs instead of buying the AVM ones.

It's all turning but no load from the gearbox. It's more to stop the backlash forming in the cv area. I've got about 270,000km's on mine and it's fine still. I want to put the hubs on but I don't want the insurance company to wipe me if I have an accident.TheBigBoy wrote:Just having the gearbox mod wont make any difference at all without the hubs, as everything is still turning.

Hello , I have a question that i'm hoping you guys can help with. I have a U.S. made FZJ 80, I want to convert to part time. However I want to use Aisin hubs. The problem is my rig is a 96'. The U.S. models went to a longer Birfield in 94' - 1997. some people have spaced the hub body out. Not sure I want to go that route. Anyone know an application that would work? Thanks Will
