Well the rover motor and box should go into the lux on the weekend. That will leave exhaust and tailshafts to do before Q Rock (actually trying to have it done for the 27th of March
Anyway, I was going to shorten and lengthen of the shafts myself and was considering using 50 x 50 x 5 box section. Whats peoples opinions on this

Probably wont get much over 20kmh as it is basically a rock rig. Having said that, I was sort of hoping to keep my options open a bit as I would love to get the thing registered and Do ASCC. If there was an unregistered class at ASCC I would not hesitate in leaving the car unregistered and only use it for comps.
I have heard / read that a square shaft is better for rock as it does not get cut up quite like a round shaft and that is why I am considering it. I have some tube here that may be suitable for the job. Maybe I should go round first so that at least I have one less worry if Ido decide to try and register it. Square tailshafts would probably be frowned upon straight away.
