Why would you hit anything at full throttle with a 6:1??
I'm lurvin mine
I'm curious too - but then again - full throttle in one gear is no different in speed to changing up a gear is...
I think the issue is more speed - not how many revs you're pumping through the system.
grimbo wrote: u can still invert a shackle with shackle reverse
I understand that this can occur but it is less likley to do so from what I can understand (as you are not backing off objects as often as you are climbing them, also you are moving in the same direction as the tyre so the spring itself is in tension not compression.. if you have your shackle lengths set up properly the spring should be at maximum droop as your shackle is at max reach ...
" If governments are involved in the covering up the knowledge of aliens, Then they are doing a much better job of it than they do of everything else "
I don't want a shackle reversal I have enough gentle contact with the firewall at the moment, don't want to end up with a swamper in my lap if I go with the reversal
Inner front guards are now no more, I had hoped I could get away with just removing the front of the inner guard near the headlights (Like Gregs Tin Top) hence why I painted but as the tyres are an inch bigger than I anticipated I got stuck into the guards with a plasma cutter - and man I have to say its my new best friend.
Battery is in the back in a box, washer bottle will go back there too. I just need to track down a smallish air box from pick-a-part probably.
No pics ATM hopefully tomorrow, still need to clean up one of the edges and flex it up to work out how much more of the headlight bucket has to get chopped but its all looking promising.
Saturday will be spent fabbing some shock mounts, hopefully take it off road Sat or Sun arvo.
Finished off the rear upper shock mounts today, we redrilled the crossmember further inward and used stepped shock bolts of my spare chassis. Now getting full tuck to the bump stop. I also finished the guards, chopped the bottoms of the headlight buckets out, went for a play around Winneke reservoir on some obstacles and couldn't get the fronts to touch panel, the back do but only about 5mm off the bump stops.
I still have a few bits of wiring to clean up and also mount the washer bottle and some sort of air box but apart from that its pretty much trail-ready, I'm hanging to take it out, perhaps one night this week may be the go.

Thats just coz Greg & luv_mud pad too much in the other threads.
Tonight Greg and another mate will be over.
Gunna paint the doors, screen surround, bonnet & bikinni bar as well as mount the front flares a bit better, I still need to chase up an air filter (either a shitty air box from pick-a-part or a K&N type pod.
I wanted to have it ready for a club adventure tour this weekend, I wont be doing all 3 days just the Monday as its closest to my house.
I'm currently digital camera-less, hopefully i'll get some action shots on the weekend.

hahah - any excuse for more bling right
I'm gonna have to wear my tyres out real fast now so i can justify the :bling: boggers :bling: now

Drewfus wrote:hmmm, did they make 'small' boggers in say a cheap 31" size?
As far as you should be concerned - they only came in a 33x14x15 And that's most likely only going to fit on some beadlocks, or whiz bang super bling alloy rims
