riff ratio

how do i work out what ratio my rear diff is? or the easiest way. its a 95 swb 3.0l manual

3.0 V6 = 4.625, 4.875. - 2 different ratios listed?

the gearing on my bundy diff is 4.88 so im hoping the back will be the same?

It will be stamped on the alloy compliance plate on the firewall.

i had a look there but i couldnt find much other than the vin number

Sorry. AFAIK, all 3.0 shorties had the 4.875 diff, for a "sportier" drive - I'm fairly certain mine has. I thought that was in the FAQ.

Yes. If you head over to http://www2.pajeroclub.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=26 Pickle has put together a nice FAQ containing lots of code type information. E05 and D62 essentially means 3.0 V6 5 speed manual.

Somewhere on your compliance plate should be 4 digits indicating your diff ratio - have a look for 4875 or 4625.

my old shorty was 4.625 and it was 3.oL v6 :?

haha sorry guys i found the plate on the under side of the bonnet, my bad, turns out its 4.625 anyone know where i can get 4.88 from?

Yes I was going to add, if yyou can't find it on the firewall, they also put them on the underside of the bonnet.
