my 83 lwb has correct t-case, so as well as the year, you need to see if it has the sender for a 4wd light, then its useable, if not, ratio is good, but needs all new mounts made, and hoppers wont fit, christover

Basically mate you want the 1lt transfer case, with the 12% reduction. So basically out of a 1lt zuk.
Depending on what year your car is you may have the same size flanges. If not it's only a matter of drilling the smaller ones out.
Are you buying the entire 82 vehicle or just the case?
Nicbeer - something worth considering though is whether or not you are going to run tyres bigger than 31". If that is the case - you are probably going to want a S3 hopper to get the gearing right - and that will mean getting a 1.3L x-fer case... i.e. could be worth thinking ahead a bit to save some money in the long run.
nicbeer wrote:32's at max I think. I already have a good 1.3transfer box and a noisy one suited for a rh. No money for rh at moment.
If the noise is due to dodgy bearings then you will probably need to pay for those to be replaced when the hopper is installed too (just a bit of forward notice).
